Scholarships make it possible for many deserving
students to attend VCU; they also help in Virginia Commonwealth
University,
efforts to attract the brightest, most meritorious students
to the university. Endowed scholarships are created with
a minimum $10,000 gift. The principal is invested, and
only interest (5 percent) is used each year for student
support. These named, endowed scholarships last in perpetuity.

Endowed faculty support
Endowed lectureships, professorships and chairs are used to support distinguished teachers and researchers in strategic areas of the university’s curriculum.
