Welcome to the official Web site of the Virginia Commonwealth
University Foundation. Your right to privacy is important
to us. We recognize that providing us with personal
information is an act of trust.
As an affiliated organization of a state-assisted university,
we adhere to the privacy policy of the Commonwealth of
Virginia.
" It is the policy of the Commonwealth of Virginia that
personal information about citizens will be collected
only to the extent necessary to provide the service
or benefit desired; that only appropriate information will
be collected; that the citizen shall understand the
reason the information is collected and be able to examine their
personal record which is maintained by a public body."
The VCU Foundation does not collect personally identifiable
information from you unless you provide it voluntarily
and knowingly. In other words, we do not require you
to register or provide information to us in order to
view our site.
There are occasions when we will ask for additional information.
For example, personal information will be collected when
you make a gift online. We will use this information
for the sole purpose of crediting you correctly for your
gift.
We adhere to the Donor Bill of Rights developed
by the Council for Advancement and Support of Education,
the American Association of Fundraising Counsel, the
Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, and the Association
of Fund-Raising Professionals.
This policy may be changed or updated from time to
time.
